Photographing weddings involves working long hours and is physically demanding where you spend the majority of the day on your feet, knees and elbows whilst dragging two heavy DSLRs and lenses around with you. However, it always surprises us how quickly a day can go when you have so much to photograph. We spent 14 hours from start to finish with Anisha and Gaj on their wedding day, spanning five locations, but we loved every minute of it.
The day started with Paul M visiting Anisha and family at the Steve Hilliard hairdressers in Luton where the girls were getting their hair and make-up done before heading to the welcoming Bhaktivedanta Manor temple, via the family home in a rather impressive 1938 Rolls Royce Phantom Limousine. Meanwhile, Paul S met with Gaj and family at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Luton before making their way to the temple, also in a Rolls Royce but this time a Phantom 111!
The majority of the day was spent at the temple documenting Anisha and Gaj’s beautiful civil and Hindu ceremonies before we had to race a Rolls Royce Ghost (not an easy task) to ensure we arrived at the impressive Shendish Manor before Anisha & Gaj, in time for the evening reception. Musical Movements were already there and got the party in full swing in no time at all.
Here are some photographs from their big day. We have just about recovered from the post-wedding thigh burn!
